Fun under the sun El Paso’s hospitable climate is ideal for outdoor sports. There are both private and public places to swim, play tennis and golf. There are also many public facilities for baseball and softball. For information, call the Parks and Acosta Sports Center at 534-0254.

Emerald Springs Golf Course 852-9110

This 18-hole golf course and associated country club have gone through major renovation and restoration. The club includes a restaurant, bar, card room, and fitness center.

Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course 821-2122

Designed by Singer, Span and Dye, this 18-hole course was rated the No. 2 public course in the nation by Golf Digest. It has a desert layout and water comes into play on three holes.
